SKAPTO CONSULTING 
Skapto is a private consultancy company incorporated in Belgium. The company was founded in 2004. An additional office was opened in Turkey, in 2006. We have experience in all stages of a mining project, from greenfield exploration, through development to production. We have worked in a wide variety of locations and with a range of commodities, from base and precious metals to diamonds and industrial minerals. Our aim is to add value to our client’s projects by providing efficient and reliable geological consulting, management and contracting services.
Team
As a consultant he completed diamond, precious and base metals projects, mainly in Central and West Africa and in Turkey. Since 2005, Geert has been based in Turkey, where he has build up an extensive professional network within the European mining and exploration industry.

Senior Metallurgist
He joined Vielle Montagne in 1962 and was appointed as managing director. After the merger, he became the Chief Executive Officer of Union Minière (now Umicore, Nyrstar and Aurubis), and later Non-Executive Director.
In 1997, he joined Reunion Mining as Non-Executive Director. He developed the metallurgical flowsheet for the Skorpion deposit, which had been problematic for decades. After the take-over by Anglo-American, he was retained as a metallurgical advisor. Noël Masson co-founded ZincOx with Andrew Woollet and was Executive Chairman till 2008. He was also First Chairman of IZA, the International Zinc Association and was in charge of defining the mining strategy of several African Countries for the World Bank.
Pascal van Osta has more than 30 years of experience in mineral exploration in Africa and South America. He is currently Vice President-Exploration at RosCan Gold Corp. Pascal van Osta was previously employed as Exploration Manager by Gold X Mining Corp. (previously Sandspring Resources Ltd.), as Exploration Manager by Endeavour Mining Corp., and as Chief Geologist by Etruscan Resources Inc. Pascal van Osta is EuroGeo and graduated from the Free University of Brussels with Honours degree in Geology.
Emma currently sits as President of the US board of a Tanzanian-run orphanage and is actively involved in strategic planning, development and fundraising for the organisation. She is also Operations Director of the Musangu Foundation, an initiative born out of the mining industry in sub-Saharan Africa. The Foundation aims to improve education, health and livelihoods.
